Laura Sanatore worked with the owners of this traditional Hamptons home on a kitchen remodel that strikes the perfect balance between function and form. During the design process the clients expressed a desire for updated modern appliances and a central island to accommodate the family’s cooking and entertaining habits. Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances were brought in and we created a cerused oak island that anchors the kitchen with a touch of rustic elegance. The white-on-white locally produced custom cabinetry, Caesarstone quartz countertops and glossy ceramic herringbone backsplash are a classic complement to the dark hardwood floors, and we used brass accents in the cabinet hardware and over-sink lights to give the space warmth and a stylish pop. The result is a beautifully updated kitchen that perfectly serves the client’s needs with a timeless style that feels as though it’s always been there.
